Stupid Worry

 You get used to things don't you? 
I can't even remember the last time I drove a car that wasn't my little thing. Now I have to drive my mother's heavy-steering all-wheel drive vehicle from the mechanics. At school traffic hour. On several busy main roads. I pre-apologise to all other drivers if I am slooooow. 

Also if you find someone slow on the road, well maybe, just maybe, they are a dutiful child used to driving something light and nippy doing a favour for a parent. A parent with a very different car/truck/bus/cruiseship-on-wheels!

thanks! it wasn't too bad. I bunny hopped my way home because the brake was waaay more touchy than what I am used to.

Oh, I hear you. Driving for work I've ended up with a heavy four wheel drive diesel behemoth the last couple of times. Have really appreciated the weight because both times ended up driving on country roads through rain so heavy the visibility was reduced, but the drive was really smooth!

Those sorts of conditions are when those cars really shine. They feel so secure on dirt and mud.
Geez, if I parked my car on mud I feel like it would slide off! (but front wheel drive does make a car feel lighter than it actually is)

Absolutely. We have a little Hyundai and a large Toyota, and the handling difference between the two when it is raining is marked.
